Vali-Asr Park, an area of 165000 m2, filled with old trees, is located at Bi-Sim neighborhood. This park has always served different groups of people from different ages and different activities including sports, leisure, community trades and local sales. A circular pool with an area of 6700m2 (radius 43m) was suggested by the city council. Located at the west southern side of the park, the pool was thoroughly abandoned for a long time, prior to a period when it was being used in football matches. By observations and investigation, we came to the conclusion that a plaza may work pretty well as an arena for communal gatherings and leisure, as an investigation in public sphere and the community.
The idea was to maintain the model of a garden by producing the new model: garden, leisure center, and sports center. Having had the building body invisibly, the sports center would not distract the garden, and the existing plaza in the park would be developed and spread toward the new plaza. The sport center follows the same pattern to maintain the spontaneous circulations and hang arounds in the area. Here the people would get access to the center's facilities by getting in the plaza.

This center brings about distinctive spatial characteristics and a shift in the visitors moods by absorbing and bringing together the scattered human potentials in 2 levels:

1. By bringing in the visitors to the semi-closed, semi-controlled space inside the covered plaza.

2. By bringing in the visitors to the surrounded and functional area of the sports center (a multi functional sports salon and a swimming pool)
